Customer Review :
Good for convertible crib : Kidco Convertible Crib Bed Rail
I was really pleased with this bed rail. I'm glad I closely read the reviews of the standard twin bed rails to see that those are not compatible with a convertible crib. We have a modern looking convertible crib, with two solid ends and a platform base for the mattress to rest on. Since the crib doesn't have that springy thing under the mattress, I was worried this wouldn't work, but it is great. As another review said, we moved the rail all the way up to one end, because my 2.5 year old sleeps on a pillow, and stays in pretty much the same spot all night, so it was best to have the whole upper 3/4 of the crib protected. We also purchased a sun/moon nightlight in conjunction with the 'big boy' bed transition, so now he waits for the sun to illuminate, and then knows it is time to climb out of bed. The mesh is very taught, and it is all put together right out of the box too. Nothing to assemble - very easy to install. Perfect rail for a convertible crib and I would recommend it to anyone.
Update 9/27/2011: This has held up perfectly, as good as the day we got it, and it is now used on the twin bed. It is a perfect length too; it doesn't need to take up the whole side of the bed like some other rails, just enough so he won't roll out. There is plenty of room for him to climb in and out (and me too).
